Although the sea intimidates me, like a true Dutch woman, I love to walk along the beach and feel the wind in my hair and listen to the sound of the waves.
Summertime and the livin' is easy, you made me want to listen to this old song. Your vintage postcard are awesome. I would do some research about this "Toneycomo" lake, the name intrigues me. Generally the ocean beach is too crown for me, I would choose the lake in the moutains.
Thanks for dropping by...apologies for tardiness of my visit here! I adore the second card with those elegantly dressed beach goers, although I'm also a fan of mountain lakes!
I like both, but only the ones everyone else thinks aren't glamorous enough to go to. You should check out my post on my blog about Grand Island. http://nomadicnewfies.blogspot.com/2011/08/sore-seats.html
I prefer lake in the mountains. I think it's a special feeling to be sorrounded by the lush greenery while dipping in the cool water at the same time.
