Happy Thanksgiving

This card isn't in the best of condition, but I rather liked the spoon
(anyone else out there ever collect souvenir spoons on their travels?)

Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to all my Canadian friends
Everyone else, have a blessed weekend.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving! The card is nice and old fashioned. Love the spoon. My mom got me started collecting spoons when I was about 16. I continued collecting until about 1986 then just did played them on my kitchen wall, I finally gave them all to the Salvation Army Thrift store except for one favourite one that I have packed away somewhere and can't even remember what it looks like. The older I get the less stuff I want around.

    1. much of my collection (started in the late '70s) were also donated, though for a long time I did actually use many of them.

    1. This one I would probably keep and bring it out once a year to display (and maybe use).
      thanks.

  3. My mother had a collection of wooden racks filled with tiny silver spoons from various places. They used to fascinate me when I was a kid and they were going to be mine one day, but their our house burned down. Now I don't live having collections, so I would probably not even have taken them.

    1. I like having collections - but I also like them to be complete and once I realized mine was far from complete - I could remember so many great places I visited and did not have a spoon from - I was ready to get rid of them.

  5. This seems to be something they did a lot--there are souvenir spoon postcards for a lot of things. I love the colors and grace of movement in this one! Thank you for sharing!

    Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!
