chills

During my more or less lucid moments of the past few days, I was writing a blog post in my head to tell you all how sick and miserable I was feeling. No gory details (I will spare you that horror) but mostly to garner sympathy for my chills and fever. Someone to bring me chicken soup and put fresh linens on the bed might be nice, too.

But all that paled in importance when I heard that The Sagittarian's of More Canterbury Tales house was destroyed in the latest earthquake. They are all safe.

My heart goes out to all the people New Zealand.

  3. Does virtual chicken soup count? :)
Hard to take in the destruction in NZ. I think everyone is thinking of them.

  4. I think back on our visit to Christchurch a few years ago and wonder, which of the lovely buildings we admired have been distroyed, are any of the people we met and enjoyed among the injured or killed?
Hope you feel better soon and I hope those in NZ are soon healed from their hurts, physical and emotional.

  6. It must be devastating to have one's life turned upside down by natural disasters. It's not been comfortable in the southern hemisphere recently.
I hope you're feeling better now. I laughed at your account of 'pilling the cat' - Abby is not easily fooled, obviously!

  7. Yes..... it helps to get everything back into perspective, doesn't it?
Still, if you have been feeling out of sorts then it is best to get things off your chest.

  8. Oh dear! That is terrible! It certainly puts things in perspective. My heart goes out to all who lost their homes and, worse, lives of loved ones.

I hope you are feeling better, dear.
