New Year stamps

The 2012 stamp from Ukraine for Christmas also included a New Years stamp in the set.
here's the one from 2011 (sadly, no gold foil on this set)
I couldn't find much information on this New Years stamp from Lithuania, it's been designed by artist Greta Gruzdaityté who seems to also be a jewellery designer.

  1. I'm quite jealous that Ukraine include a New Year stamp with the Christmas set, you can only buy New Year ones as an expensive personal stamp sheet here. Love that little house design on the Lithuanian one.

  2. It's quite interesting to see stamps from the Ukraine especially as the country has been (is) going through troubled times. I get regular visitors from there to my blog. I think this must be the first Lithuanian stamp I've seen.

  3. I like the way the Ukraine stamps combined New Year and Christmas.

I think Ukraine must be having mail problems. I just got a Postcrossing card from there that took over 200 days!

  5. I agree with Joy that it's a pity we don't have a New Year set.
