  1. Oh, poor birdie, he makes such happy sounds too. What a crotchety landlord with his evil flashlight. I don't like him!

  2. I'm not so sure about the happy sounds- birdsong is beautiful, the incessant chirping, not so much.

  3. Yeah, that's what we get a lot of here...chirping, save for the cardinals. I know their song very well.

  4. I have a lot of noisy birds around here, often quite early in the morning. But I like the sound, fortunately.

  5. That is exactly what happened last night around 4am which is quite light up here some bird was singing its heart out near the bedroom window so I had to get up and shut all the windows and try and go back to sleep again. He is at it again right now and it is almost 9pm I hope he gets a sore throat!

  6. Wonderful!
we have some birds who have made their nests under the eves of our house and every year they seem to get noisier (which is great as it means I'm not going deaf just yet!!)

  7. Wonderful! And there's me encouraging my birdies to sing and putting up new boxes all over the place!

  8. You'd miss all the birds if they weren't here! So many are endangered now.

I love hearing them, even in the early mornings. If you don't like them, have you tried ear plugs?? ;)

I love your header image too!

  10. Hearing the birdsong fills me with great joy, but I am glad to not have a nest near my bedroom window.

I like your outlook Amanda, I'd hate to lose that sound when I get old and hard of hearing.

I'm wondering what he planned to do with that flashlight? He's not getting much sympathy from you all, is he?!

  11. Instead of the birdhouse, make it a nest up in the gutter. Instead of the cranky man, make it a cranky woman. This would then be my life for the past couple of weeks. I guess I should have just flipped the breaker so my birds had no more electricity to play their stereo!
