SundayStills - yellow

Today, I and a friend went out for breakfast. I love going out to eat at the best of times, well most of the time. Sitting in a booth on a bench seat at a table, where people come by and place things like coffee and water and food in front of you, what's not to like? And there was a new restaurant that opened up here a few months ago I had heard so much about, so when we noticed that there was going to be another location opening up, even closer to where we live, we knew it must be another success story and had to find out for ourselves. Don't you wish you were here with me this weekend? This is the ingenuity of a woman named Cora in Montreal.
It is only breakfast (open from 6am-3pm).
and you must love fruit, because everything on the menu is laden with piles of fruit
It is very country kitchen yellow insidewith fun signs to entertain while you are waiting
the menu is HUGE, making it difficult to choose
but after finally deciding, I broke my vow and took pictures of food in a restaurant. (still trying out the different settings)

my friend tried to think healthy with the eggs to go with the fruit

I gave up on any pretense and went for the waffle with fresh cream

Bon Appetit!

  15. I love to eat out but we decided that we can't eat out and go to Mexico as well so that is no longer an option. It looks really good.

  18. That's a decadent amount of food on those plates. You could feed a whole African village with that. Are Canadians like Americans? The more, the better? Tell me you ate all of that and that you didn't waste any of it and I will forgive Cora for serving such huge portions of food.

  20. lol there's a waffle under this mountain of fruit somewhere... that is a phenomenal breakfast.
I'd get by without eating for the rest of the day! I have got to get myself to Canada.

  21. Pony Girl: I prefer eating breakfast out over dinner, but also don't do it much ... that may change now!

Citizen: yes, I know - and I thought of you as I warned my friend about taking photos, she disappeared when I started on the walls!

J9 & Wildback: fruit: so juicy and sweet!

Peter: come on over, and I'll treat!

  22. Maggie May: they were droolingly delish.

Dibear: I know! it was there, but well covered.

    CTG: very yummy.

Mari: I keep forgetting about making pancakes, and it is so quick and easy.

CarzySheepLady: good choice for 'yellow' or for 'breakfast'? or both? I'm going for 'both'.

  23. Jazz: yes she has and I am ever so happy about it! (p.s. thanks to you and MrJazz for following - I love seeing new icons of followers, makes me feel special)

Lori: I laughed when I saw the inside and immediately decided to change my post!

Prairierunner: they make it look so easy.

Naomi: when you get organized, stop by for a visit and I'll treat you.

Ed: um, not sure they give that option - it seems everything is 'smothered' in fruit!

Char: I am sooooo going back for more.

  24. LOR: oh, the fresh cream.... it was funny that both of us forgot to put the syrup on our waffle and pancakes and didn't miss it one bit.

Berni: if I had to make that choice, I'd do the same.

Kelly: oops, sorry, and so late at night, too!

Jen Mo: thanks, not sure how yellow the food looked, but the surroundings probably reflected a bit!

Irene: it was a decadent amount, good word. and no, we aren't quite like the Americans with respect to food portions as that is often the first thing we notice whenever eating out down that way! Oh and yes, I ate every morsal.

Flowerweaver: must be Cora's favourite colour.

Sighman: I think this must be the healthiest 'most important meal of the day' I've ever eaten (cream notwithstanding).
