Photo Hunt Saturday - yellow

Today's PhotoHunt theme is yellow, and I found some yellow when I went to see a bit of Spring at Canada Blooms yesterday.

This little one was quite happy to play in the giant sandbox all by herself, pretty dress and all.

Maybe she'll grow up to one day create this

Here I will share my dream backyard sanctuary.

which will have a daffodil lined walkway
and plenty of my favourite spring flowers, tulips

can you smell the freesia? heavenly.

  4. It takes special sand to create a sculpture like that. I forget where it is imported from. Imagine being able to do that.

Lots of yellows, all very pretty. It must have been wonderful to wander around there.

  7. ooh, lovely. I went to Canada Blooms a few years ago. A great getaway.

Sandbox and velvet - you only encounter sandboxes so often. It was worth it.

  12. Special packing sand, I guess, Irene. It was a lovely way to get into Spring, Cindy, Suzy.

Pearl, It changes every year, and this year was a little less ... spectacular. But still enjoyable.

I have only been about 6 times in the 13 years it has been on, Mr Nighttime, so not quite every year.

  19. Lovely, I am quite fond of yellow. My nephew is very high "special needs" and doesn't communicate at all but he loves yellow too as he will always seek that colour out in almost everything he plays with.

  20. Those photos are gorgeous! Canada Blooms sounds w donerful event. Spring is a very yellow (and purple/mauve) time, just what we need to revive us after the winter.

And I just love your new header. Hope you keep on coming up from the slough of despond. I do know how you feel!

  21. Tulips are my favorites, too. Mine are up, but not blooming, yet. Although I thought you'd be partial to the pretty little spring violets!

  22. EG yes, though with less impressive displays as previous.

Delwyn, and I love the smell of freesias. We only get them as cut flowers here.

  23. PowersTwinB, they were my favourite.

It is trying to get warmer, Noha.

Kylie and Katherine, just get yourself a few dozen heavy limestone boulders and place them artfully and let the water run ... then drop a few seeds and wait 20 years!

  24. Amanda, that is interesting about your nephew. He must find it soothing and exciting at the same time. I can see that.

Thank you, Gilly, the warmer weather and sunshine also helps.

  25. Citizen, nope, the tulips will win every time. I am partial to the colour violet more than the flower.

  26. Ahhhhh, the freesia......freesia, freesia, freesia....I just love saying that word. It's kinda like Marcia, Marcia, Marcia only prettier and more colorful. The tulips are lovely as well.
