LMAO at the glasses! I think I had that pair, too! Wasn't it awful trying to get used to wearing small frames after having half your face covered?! If I had my way, I'd still be wearing them! :D
Lovely to reminisce with old photos. I never did like large glasses (on me) but suited you. The John Lennon look was much better for my prescription! Enjoy your browsing.
Irene: I know - it was tiny. there were three bedrooms at the back end, each only big enough for a double bed and a dresser. no room even for doors, we had curtains.
SA Woman: aren't they hilarious?!! that opening on the far left is a built in cupboard with very deep shelves inside. it was used to store books and games and extra blankets. everything was arranged to have a space for your feet so you could climb up to the loft.
It is the minutiae of life that makes the daily experience worthwhile. There is no theme to these writings. It may or may not even make sense at times. Mostly I will write because my cat does not listen to me anymore. I like comments. Coffee is good too. And chocolate.

I always love looking back - great shots
I don't think I have any pictures of the cabin I spent many summer vacations in...I wonder why my mother never took photos? These are great!
Char: I am immersed in old photos now.
Oliag: my family took very few photos, this was during my initial photography phase, and I dearly wish there were more.

Love the cottage.
Susan: oh yeah, and the permanent red marks on your cheeks from the heavy frames?!

The cottage looks lovely, but so little and it held all of you! What fun you must have had!
Maggie May: thanks, but let's be honest - they look ridiculous!
I seem to be reminiscing more and more as I get older

Leaves, leaves, leaves - always leaves to rake. We have an old outhouse like that too. No indoor plumbing at the cottage.
Just kidding!
Wow, the glasses do look like they'd weigh the face down.
Love the knotty pine! We have that too.
Ruth: nothing says cottage in a northern clime like knotty pine.
The glasses are a hoot. But where are the shelves you say you're in front of?

Cool! You look like you are ready to hit the disco.
Lovely reminiscences! Don't the shots just take you back - especially the huge glasses! :-)
I am so glad I read the preceding post to go with this. Wonderful memories.
Geewits: I had the sunglasses for it.
Vanilla: they do, and to think we weren't embarrassed by what we wore. now if only I were the same size.....
