  2. I don't think I have any pictures of the cabin I spent many summer vacations in...I wonder why my mother never took photos? These are great!

  3. Char: I am immersed in old photos now.

Oliag: my family took very few photos, this was during my initial photography phase, and I dearly wish there were more.

  4. LMAO at the glasses! I think I had that pair, too! Wasn't it awful trying to get used to wearing small frames after having half your face covered?! If I had my way, I'd still be wearing them! :D

    Love the cottage.

  5. Susan: oh yeah, and the permanent red marks on your cheeks from the heavy frames?!

  6. Lovely to reminisce with old photos.
I never did like large glasses (on me) but suited you.
The John Lennon look was much better for my prescription!
    Enjoy your browsing.

  8. Maggie May: thanks, but let's be honest - they look ridiculous!

I seem to be reminiscing more and more as I get older

  9. Irene: I know - it was tiny. there were three bedrooms at the back end, each only big enough for a double bed and a dresser. no room even for doors, we had curtains.

  10. Leaves, leaves, leaves - always leaves to rake. We have an old outhouse like that too. No indoor plumbing at the cottage.

    Just kidding!

Wow, the glasses do look like they'd weigh the face down.

Love the knotty pine! We have that too.

  11. Ruth: nothing says cottage in a northern clime like knotty pine.

  12. The glasses are a hoot. But where are the shelves you say you're in front of?

  13. SA Woman: aren't they hilarious?!!
that opening on the far left is a built in cupboard with very deep shelves inside. it was used to store books and games and extra blankets. everything was arranged to have a space for your feet so you could climb up to the loft.
