That is a seriously, seriously gorgeous photo. You should hire yourself out as a food photographer -- apparantly it's one of the hardest things to photograph properly and those who specialize in arranging and photographing food for magazines and cookbooks and stuff command a good buck.
Um, I'm pretty sure I could consume everything on that plate in one sitting!!! Of course, I probably wouldn't need to eat the rest of the day, but I think I could do it.
I think you ate the little tart first, at least I would have. That is a way cool plate, a way cool board thing and everything on the plate is pure heaven. I just picked up some raspberries yesterday too. And these tomatoes are such good ones, whatever they're called.
Somehow blue plates always make food very pretty...I love this plate...and I have been a lover of Fire King for a long time...
I'm certain I would have started with that yummy looking butter tart and I am excited to read that the recipe will be shared!...after the tart I would have finished off the entire plate:)

XUP: thank you! I am a little worried this could be beginners luck - so will try again. but yeah, didn't those raspberries come up juicy looking...
ReplyDeleteJazz: and that butter tart was absolutely divine. I have some left...
Sunny: and what could be simpler than some fruit and cheese and a bit of yogourt?
Char: thanks, it was!
Susan: actually, I pretty much did, except for the tomatoes and the cheese.

ReplyDeleteHow lovwely to have a market nearby!
Ruth: of course I did!! The last of the "home bred" eggs...
ReplyDeleteThis plate was my latest Fire-King aquisition.
Gilly: farmers markets are the best -no matter how small.
ReplyDeleteThe pastry is a butter tart - a Canadian specialty. Recipe in next post for anyone who cares.
Life is short - eat dessert first.
ReplyDeleteOh Gosh, now I've got to eat, nothing is going to stop me!
