Fall is beautiful and sad. The colours, the light... and the green past its prime, drying, dying... Much as I love it, it's a harbringer of winter. Which makes me quite distraught...
Beautiful signs of fall:-) Those canna's will soon have fantastic seedheads...I saw them already in a garden over here. (The Netherlands). Like the warm light and reflection on the duck too:-)
These are good reflections of fall, and nice shots!

I like the way you think, VS...."in an ornamental way", cause I'm a sucker for clever wordplay.
ReplyDeleteDuckie is my favorite...the light is spectacular in that one.
Thanks, flowerweaver, Sunny, Ed, Scott, KK, Lisa, Geewits
ReplyDeleteSorry Frogdancer, am I confusing your brain while you are on holidays? Our weather is probably about the same now.
Jazz, are you always this pessimistic about the weather?!!
Yes Gilly, that is the hated goldenrod.
Ebie and Quinn, I ended up buying some flowering cabbage or kale while at the garden centre taking these photos!
ReplyDeleteThe duck is my favourite, I loved the brilliant warm golden colour on them. Thanks, regular guy, mellimaus, crazysheeplady, Chloe, Marleen.
Ruth, yes it is rainy and miserable at the moment.

I love Autumn, for many reasons, including of course its colours. Like you, I check for signs of it in my surroundings.
ReplyDeleteI love plants that survive a frost, Delwyn. Autumn is my favourite time of year, Guillaume.
