  9. Me too. Congrats Canada for putting on a great Games, for winning so many golds and other medals and for nearly giving me a heart attack on the way towards winning ice hockey gold.

  14. Cute kitty. Someone told me the Olympics are over - is that what you mean?

  15. I wish I looked as adorable as this kitty when I'm that tired!

Once I figured out which events were shown on which of the 9 channels, it got easier.
but now I have time to get myself to the gym...

I was having minor palpitations myself, Lone Grey Squirrel, even though I really thought that game was highly overrated in importance...

You are very kind Sistertex ;)

and Secret Agent Woman, having been thoroughly ensconced in the 24 hour coverage, I cannot believe you even have to ask!!

  16. What a gorgeous kitty. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be that relaxed?

The Olympics were a hoot, even though it appeared that some Canadians didn't appreciate them, sadly. We had fun here in Vancouver. The last game was so important because if Canada won the gold (which it did) it meant it broke the record for the number of gold medals won -- ever -- by a country in the Winter Olympics. To me, however, watching hockey is just slightly more interesting than watching paint dry. :-)

  17. I'm glad you enjoyed having the Games in your city, Jo. There will likely be a bit of a let-down feeling that the Paralympics won't help dispel (sadly).

I understand about the importance of the gold medal game, though I still think the frenzied attention placed on hockey overshadowed some of the other events. They do, afterall, have the Stanley Cup.

  18. Only got to read it in the newspapers.

I suppose the cute kitty can take over the remote now :-)

  20. What an adorable QT and perfect Monday post! I could use a bit of relaxation myself about now. As for comments ... like you I tend to mark the box for follow up comments in email (when it's available) so it's easy to get behind.

  21. LOLOL! Great pic, congrats on the gold, but at least we gave you a run for your money...

  22. I suppose, the winter games aren't as popular in India, Anil, as here. We now have the regular season hockey games being called in Punjabi on a muulticultural station that has become quite a success.

A collective heart attack, more like, Mr Nighttime.

I don't know, Lena, I tend to hog the remote.

  26. Thanks, Oliag!

He was quite taken with the snowboard cross, Lew. And he shed a few tears during the figure skating.

He's not mine, Delwyn, just a cute pic I found on the 'net.

  31. This cuteness could not be wasted, Teachers Pet. And now that the Olympics are over, Joanna, he's back to the soaps, but they don't seem as dramatic somehow.
