This past week has been spent in the company of Willie. I am not sure I much like Willie.
He is a bit noisy - always has something to say, even when there really is nothing to talk about. And really, for someone who never goes outside, he seems to have an awful lot of opinions.
He is also a bit thin and leggy. And is black and white. For some reason, I have no idea why, I am not drawn to 'tuxedos' or black and white cats.
And next week, I get to visit with Maggie. She has become a lot less frenetic since the first time we spent time together about three years ago. But she still tends to look down on me.
All this cat sitting is making me want to get one of my own again.
like the one on this postcard that came in the mail from Postcrosser Jodie in Thailand.
Ha, I like the card. Cats can be strange things, they either like you or they don't. Mine gets right snarky when I leave. Has her nose out of joint for a few days. Hope all goes well. take care.
ReplyDeleteAbby used to get a bit huffy, but she always seemed to get over my 'abandonment' of her quite quickly.
DeleteNot sure cats always like us! They obviously know who rules the roost, and can be very disdainful!
ReplyDeleteHaving said that, we used to have a lovely tabby when I was a child - and he lived a long life, always happy to be with us.
I like the independent streak of cats. dogs sortof annoy me with their constant needing us.
DeleteWe've always had very talkative cats - Burmese for many years then a couple of years without and now an Ocicat. He's very affectionate - you'd love to cat-sit him;-)
ReplyDeletethis could a trip over to England very economical, and fun!
DeleteI like cats to be affectionate.
What a great postcard.
ReplyDeleteisn't it just? I laughed all the way up the stairs from the mailbox with this one.
DeleteI love cats who have something to say!!!

the chattering kind is not to bad, but the in your face demands are a bit of a turn off for me.
DeleteThat card is pretty funny! Cats are creatures with minds of their own, aren't they? All the cats I know think they own their people, rather than the other way around - and they just may be right!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have cats again. Unfortunately the hubs has developed allergies. Sometimes I wonder if I should just get a cat and put him out. But since he does all the cooking, that might not be the best idea.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am a dog person, I have also had cats as pets. Siamese are very companionable and "talkative" too.
ReplyDeleteOf our three cats I am only sure that one really thinks of me as her human but she is also not the one that wants to climb into my lap to be petted and loved.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the pet sitting.
I love all cats. Thanks for commenting on my blog again, by the way.
