and I haven't even watered them yet!
I had to play with the brightness and contrast so you could see the first picture more clearly. I had intended to take another when I woke up this afternoon and was shocked! to see how much they had grown in 5 hours. Which, admittedly, isn't as dramatic in the pics as in real life.
So meet Scarlett (right) and Bianca (left)
That's amazing. I have to get me some of those.
ReplyDeleteI had been meaning to post a tongue-in-cheek remark linking your
ReplyDelete"shocked to see how much they had grown" post
to what I just saw for sale at Antwerp's, Belgium Christmas market,
but I hesitated :-))
All this happened in just five hours?!?! Can you say Little Shop of Horrors???
ReplyDeleteWhat a couple of minxes.
ReplyDeleteI need to get me some of them this time of year, when everything is shutting down, and I crave signs of life.
Irene: Yes, do. It will liven up your day
ReplyDeletePeter: Now, now. It was only a couple of centimetres...I know.
Em: Just you wait
Jocelyn: It is great to watch flowers growing instead of just having the blooms ready made and die immediately .
Haha, I love how you named them. Pretty names (and I'm sure they'll be pretty flowers soon!).
ReplyDeleteI love amaryllises. They are a lovely splash of colour at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHave you finished your Christmas card signing yet?
MA
J: Great to see you again. The wrappers said 4-6 weeks.
ReplyDeleteMA: erm, ah, no.
well still time for those cards - will do them for you! if you finish my wrapping up.
ReplyDeleteMA
MA: that's why I use bags - I hate wrapping presents, though personally I love getting wrapped presents! I'm way to impatient to make them look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, went out for coffee and sat in blissful quiet and got them all done. I only had about 80 left anyway.
...and now Scarlett is taller than Bianca!
Amazing! They grow that fast??? It must be all the good vibes and talking you do that makes them want to show you their flowers quickly :)
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the pics of the flowers in full bloom soon, like oh in a day or two?
