I'm happy seeing them on my screen. I was gonna collect these once upon a time. Now I don't have any room for more dishes. But I love it when I go somewhere that has them. Then I want to take pictures.
Welcome to the Sunday Challenge, and may I add very nice start. I had no idea we had so many Canadians signed on, I think you are the 3rd. I have relatives in Hamilton and Branford. Anyway, thanks for the comment on my page, Later...Ed
I am such a dunce. I would hear people refer to fiestaware and have no idea what they were talking about. Now I know, thank you. Great pic by the way and I do love the colors.
Regular Guy: Ahh, yes. I used to have a blue background and the snow falling showed up better on that. I changed it to yellow as I thought the photos showed better with that background. Now am not sure I like it and now realize the snow doesn't show up on yellow.
But thanks, the light was a harder challenge than the colour.
What a beautiful photo! I grew up eating off Fiesta ware - my mother mostly had navy blue and aqua - but they didn't seem to hold up well...When they started making them again my first impulse was to buy some - but I never could decide between all the beautiful colors! You chose well!
Oliag: I also grew up with them at a cottage. I collect both old and new, but love the new colours best. You could get one of each - they look so great together, don't you think?
And yes, some of the old don't hold up - well loved, perhaps?!
I love Fiesta Wear! So much happier to eat off of these than plain white plates.
ReplyDeleteDrowsey: 'happier to eat off' - exactly! I'm happy just seeing them every time I open the cupboard.

ReplyDeleteWhat a smart idea...FiestaWare! There certainly is color there! Great job.
ReplyDeleteRuth: They are lovely to look at, but are heavy dishes. And bulky. I'm collecting one at a time, old and new.
ReplyDeleteEd: Thanks, found you through Andrea, who found me. Looking forward to the challenges.
ReplyDeleteThe Wife: Thanks. I like having a choice of colour to eat off.
ReplyDeleteThere's something sorbet-like about those colors.
ReplyDeleteCitizen: I love the way they all blend well together.
ReplyDeleteHmm, sorbet - I like that
I'm just cooking up some pasta fagioli which would be perfect in one of those bowls.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo...nicely done!
ReplyDeleteXUP; Yes, it would. I'm putting chili in mine later.
ReplyDeletegttyup: Thank You.
ReplyDeleteI was over at yours at the same time.
What a beautiful photo. You take outstanding photos.
ReplyDeleteAre my eyes playing tricks or is something floating through your photo? Great light and color.

Flo: You're welcome. And thank you. Aren't the colours fabulous?
ReplyDeletePaula and J9: The blue is the only one I have a full set of, but I love to mix them up.
ReplyDeleteChar: thanks.
ReplyDeleteAndrea: light and composition were the challenge for me, not colour!
Kylie: And I like pretty.
