Christmas 1983

These are among my favourite stamps
they are charming in an old world way, yet are not dated by their colours or style.

Christmas Dove (hedge sculpture)      Light of Christmas (street lamp)
World at Peace (Dove & Blackbird)
The Three Kings (chimney pots)          Christmas Post (pillar box)

  1. Oh yes, I like them very much too! Classy little designs, and clever use of colour. A very pretty set. Our Christmas stamps this year are, sadly, in direct contrast. I'll do a post about them.

  4. The postbox birds is one of my all time favourite stamps. The the full set is so imaginative, especially the three kings.

  6. I have the chimney pots and the post box but never saw the others, We have a chimney pot in our garden of a very similar style - minus the face of course.

  7. They look attractive all together on the cover. I especially like the birds with the mailbox. I am wondering whether there are real chimney pots like the ones on the stamp.

  9. Very pretty Christmas theme stamps. The snow makes me think burrr...!!! its cold outside. Lucky it's 77*F here in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida right now.

  10. I love all of these. Such bright colours, such attractive designs! And although less colourfull, the dove and blackbird, keeping the umbrella to shelter, is my favourite.
