flowers

as the snow softly falls (again!), let us turn our minds to spring and flowers. I chose some samples of Slovenian stamps with delicate flowers, all designed by Julija Zornik as part of the 2007 series of Flowers of Slovenija

there are more flowers on stamps to be found here

  3. Sadly all our pretty spring flowers are under around six feet of snow. It was nice to see these even if they are all on stamps. That lizard orchid is a real oddity isn't it?

  4. I see you have a pulsatilla too; mine was p. vulgaris I've since found out. Super orchid.

  5. I love columbines but not fond of orchids. I seem to be in a minority on the orchids, or is it just that they have rarity value?
