  1. No need for snow days here. I loathe the stuff and am so thrilled to not yet be wearing boots.

  4. That was fun. However, I would be just as happy without the snow thanks.

  5. Delores: this rain is more depressing than the pretty snow.

  6. Nora: click on the picture, or the 'let it snow' and it will take you to the site. you might have to wait for it to load, then click on 'create a snowflake'. then use your mouse to draw (or cut) the lines and click when you have finished that cut, then keep cutting until you are done. then, your snowflake will appear falling along with the millions of others.

  9. It snowed very lightly for the first time for all of five minutes yesterday - I enjoyed watching it, but was glad it didn't continue longer.

  11. Hi there
"How can you get into the Christmas mood without snow" - well you could try having Christmas in Australia!

Although I have to say that even after almost 20 years the idea of "Christmas" and "summer" still seem to be polar opposites!

    Welcome to the southern hemisphere!

  12. Stewart: I know - so many people celebrate Christmas without snow and yet it is so ingrained that that is the image of the season.

  13. I think I am going to be wasting hours on those snowflakes, but thanks for posting it, really fun - even if it is a big waste of time. We don't get snow, so this is as close as I am gonna get.

  14. Over/down here, we just have to try harder and make do. We don't let the fact that you have most of the ice and snow distract us from our enjoyment, although we are glad if the temperature stays moderate rather than reaching heatwave conditions.
