grave post - Kuderian

It was the alphabet that first drew my attention to these gravestones. I'd never seen those letters before, though I recognized the name as being Armenian. A quick search and I now know that the Armenians have their own unique alphabet writing system that was invented in 405 AD.

I couldn't find any information on Vahram and Arshavir Kuderian. No idea how long they were in Canada before their deaths. Were they brothers? Father and son? Are there other family? And, most curiously, did they die at the same time?

  1. Makes me wonder how many different alphabets there are in use today.

    1. I can't imagine what it would be like to have an alphabet that was solely used for your own language.

  2. Interesting. Is this is Toronto or a smaller town?

  4. Another mystery in the City of Guelph. The ages might indicate father and son. I wonder if newspaper records might show something.

  6. I wonder if a site exists, to help decipher the words? Or an Armenian newspaper that would be interested in this unknown story?
