It has a different design every year and this time it's not nearly as colourful as some years past. Although, it is nice to see the Niagara Parks in flowers.
see how good I was at getting photos without random tourists posing in front of it. wasn't easy, let me tell you!
an earlier post on the floral clock in postcards can be found here
a little something for signs, signs
We have one of those in Guelph.....it also is not nearly as nice as in past years. I guess it costs to much to maintain.
ReplyDeletethere's one in Cobourg, too, but it hasn't been planted for a couple of years. these things are big tourist attractions and worth the effort, I think.
DeleteI see exactly what you mean about this floral clock this year. It's too plain compared to the colorful ones of the past. Perhaps next year will be better. There was one at the international flower exhibit in Kunming, China.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful shot. Tome The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteYou are right - it needs to be brighter!
ReplyDeletethat's beautiful though.
ReplyDeleteSIGNS, SIGNS
Yes, it is more simple, but that itself has its own beauty.
ReplyDeleteI was very disappointed last year so I guess it isn't any better.
ReplyDeleteI always liked the floral clock. Maybe the city is running low on funds to buy and maintain something more colorful?
ReplyDeleteI have seen the one in Guelph before the one Delores talks of and used to love the one in Cobourg but never seen this one in Niagara before. B
ReplyDeleteI tend to agree it is not as colourful as other years. I saw it once in 2011. It is a great clock.
ReplyDeleteI think it's beautiful. Huge too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very beautiful to me, a lovely display! Happy weekend!
