The Paris that is on the Grand River.
Paris is a typical small town in Ontario
I wanted to show off the businesses and the building styles, but the cars were in the way. I actually like the reflection on this car roof
from one of the bridges you can get a good view of the back of the buildings on Grand River Street
a few of the colourful shops
We'll have to take their word for it that it is a nice place to live, but it is certainly a nice place to visit!
for Jo's Monday Walk and Lesley's signs
What a lovely surprise, and yes- it surely does look like a nice place to visit! Cars annoy me to death sometimes. I want to blow a whistle and get them all the hell outta there, but you're right! It's a cool reflection. Many thanks for your company :)
ReplyDeleteat least the roads in most of our small towns are much wider than the ones in England's small towns!
DeleteThe buildings on the river remind me of a small town in Oregon. Great photos. It looks like a lovely walk. I adore small towns.
ReplyDeletethere is another town I plan to feature soon - co-incidentally also on the Grand River - that has buildings built right up against the river like this.
Deletewhat a charming town. I sure wish I could travel more but life has set up some road blocks.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about your difficulties.
Deletethank goodness the internet can help you travel in your mind at least.
It's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteit is a particularly picturesque town.
DeleteSuch a pretty town! I like the buildings backing onto the river - and of course your stylish reflection.

it is lovely, and I don't visit often enough!
DeleteHow about a guided tour? Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteyou coming up this way? I'm always happy to be a tour guide.
DeleteI have never been to Paris, now I want to go. It reminds me bit of Fergus.
ReplyDeleteIt is like Fergus. I guess the small towns along the Grand River all share the same characteristics. I remember having to drive my mother to Mary Maxim's when I was a teenager and living in Toronto. I didn't appreciate it nearly as much as I do now.
DeleteHow very pretty. Looks a bit like small towns in new Zealand. And I wouldn't mind living in one of those buildings with a balcony over the river.
ReplyDeleteYes, if you're losing out on a backyard, then a river view would be a nice compromise!
