burberry and turkey

Not for the squeamish.

Remember that ending scene from Fargo, where the victim is put through the wood chipper?

Except this time there is an awful lot of 'great' prattling on, and on,
"you need a little bit of levity in this job"
"certainly we'll invite a little critiscm for doing this too, but it was fun"

Here is a video showing what happens to the turkeys that don't get pardonned.

  1. I just saw this on someone else's blog.

I feel sorry for the poor man doing the slaughter -- he keeps looking over at the camera, as if to say "should I be doing this with that rolling?" Or perhaps he's wondering if Palin's going to shut up and come give him a hand?

  2. I watched this on Hardball. Sheesh, could you be any more clueless?!!! I think the guy doing the deed was trying to get his "15 minutes" of fame by looking at the camera. I hope he didn't cause the turkeys any more stress than usual because he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing.

Thanks for coming over to Bear Swamp for a visit. I love your blog!

  4. Maybe she's done a good thing and converted a lot more people to vegetarianism -- at least for the holidays

  5. Kimbofo: my eyes kept drawing over to him, waiting for him to wave.

Susan: She does appear very focussed on herself. The camera could have been easily angled to obscure the slaughterman

  6. MA: it's not that bad, but if people want to eat dead animals that are neatly shrinkwrapped.... they should be in the know. It was the juxtaposition of her and her words with the activity going on behind her - perfect for the comedians.

  7. I saw that clip on the news. Yep, could she be any more clueless... but then again, her real personality never changed, it's just more apparent now. Can you imagine her as a Vice President? Almost makes Bush come across as intelligent! Actually... nah, not really lol

  8. UA: so she is not going to disappear quietly into an Alaskan snowdrift, it seems.

  9. Thanks for the video. Leno mentioned this in his monologue Friday night so it was neat to have the visual.

  10. Jazz: and she loves the attention, no matter how bizarre

Geewits: I'm waiting for Jon Stewart's take...

  11. I'm a vegetarian and once again convinced very strongly that my choice is the right one. What a horrible way to treat our fellow creatures and Sarah Palin should be a dumb blond with my excuses to all the natural blonds out there, including me.

  12. I have been warned and decided not to watch this. But have heard enough about it to know it fits with Palin's general state of idiocy.

Poor turkeys. I don't eat them myself.

  13. CotW: I was a little concerned that the guy doing the deed to the turkeys wasn't paying attention.

  14. The turkey and that dumb woman were in the wrong places.

  15. Ken: Pure dumb luck on the fowls part.

  16. I saw this somewhere else & was dumbstruck at how dumb this woman really is! As I listened to her prattle, I felt sick.
